In May of 2011, RedPeak Properties held a competition that required 300 residential units, to infill an entire city block in the developing Uptown Neighborhood. Our winning entry, featured a common surface, where people live and congregate freely in a shared, elevated platform. This concrete platform supports five stick -framed buildings, and protects a parking garage below grade. Our concept included two retail spaces, a pool, a sports green, a fi re pit, a barbecue area, and putting greens. Each building on the deck has its own flavor, and architectural character. The historical nature of the neighborhood was a strong precedent to design from. All buildings are oriented to maximize the metropolitan vistas, to allow for swimming pool and for diverse outdoor spaces that turn this project, into a shared community of delightful living.
